Poker is a family of card games that are played in casinos and private homes around the world. A pot is a collective collection of all bets made by all players in a deal. Typically, the pot is awarded to the highest-ranking hand. In some games, the pot is split among several hands. Some variants even award the pot to the highest-ranking hand that does not include a flush.
A showdown is an exciting moment in a poker game. This is when all of the hand’s cards are revealed. As with other games, the outcomes are largely dependent on chance.
